If the level cap is increased, your Living Item will be leveling up with your hero again to the new maximum level. However, the special bonus is the same as it would be on a Legendary-level item. When buying your Living Item, only Epic versions of the item will be available, and not Legendary. However, you can add a socket by spending gems just as you would with regular items (the cost is lower when at the lower levels of your hero class). Sockets for gemstones are not guaranteed with Living Items. The Stormblade can be used by the Warrior and Mage classes, while the Stormgun can only be utilised by Bounty Hunters. ![]() ![]() Whenever a player's character first becomes eligible to take the offer, the offer activates and becomes available for a limited time, after which there is no way to acquire the Living Item again, or get the offer back if you did not take it. Living Items are available shortly after a new player begins playing (more specifically, after completing level 3 of Act I) and cost 99 cents (USD) to purchase. The Skybreaker was previously offered as a special promotion in 2015, while the Ironbound Cape made its first appearance in April 2017. Currently the only obtainable items of this kind are the Stormblade and Stormgun. ![]()
